ACADEMIC GOALS OF (S1) UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMS AT THE FACULTY OF ECONOMICS

In accordance to the decree from the Director General of Higher Education No. 111/Dikti/Kep/1989, the academic goals of undergraduate program (Strate 1) in Economics are :

	To provide expert human resources for the national development, and to meet public needs for skilled and independent graduates sensitive to social, scientific and technological change.
	To produce graduates with the following qualities:

1. A deep sense of Pancasila (the national state ideology) and a high level of personal integrity.

2. An open minded and sensitive approach toward change and advancement in science and technology as well as towards the problems faced by the community; particularly those related to the economy.

3. An ability to apply their knowledge and technological skills to productive activities and community service.

4. A mastery of basic scientific methodologies and concepts, so as to be able to invent, understand, explain and formulate solutions within their field of expertise.

5. A mastery of basic scientific khowledge so as to be able to think, behave and act as a scientist

6. A continuing interest within their specialist field in order to foster the regular monitoring of scientific advances.
