The mission of the institute is to increase research quality that sustains development of science, technology ,arts and vital contribution to national development. Therefore, research activities at the university are not only directed towards the achievement of target quantity but also the advancement of target quality. Quality research is defined as relevant studies related to the needs, scientifically accountable which supports human resource development.

Thus, synergism between research quality and quality of researcher will be two important program priorities of the institute. Through these two priorities a strong research culture will be created.
